Continental developed the TerrainContact A/T as an On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire for the drivers who want to experience improved on/off road performance from their Jeeps, pickup trucks, crossovers and SUV vehicles. Designed to deliver a blend of noiseless highway ride, and extended tread life with all-terrain capability, the TerrainContact A/T offers year-round grip in wet, dry, icy and snowy conditions. Features of the TerrainContact A/T tires include a +Silane enriched all-season compound that produces a modest all-terrain tread design. The open design boosts off-road traction, while firm tread blocks and closed shoulder pattern help to provide extended tread life and resistance to irregular wear. The +Silane additives help to extend tread life and enhance wet traction. Full-depth sipes and deep wide grooves deliver all-season grip during the tire’s life. The inside of the tire consists of two matching steel belts reinforced by spirally- wound polyamide enclosed in a two-ply covering.
