About the Firestone FIREHAWK GT

Firestone utilized its w/UNI-T Technology to develop the Firehawk GT as an All-Season tire for performance coupes and sedans. The tire combines responsive handling, long tread wear with reliable grip on both dry and wet roads also in light snow. The UNI-T Technology centers on three main tire mechanisms; tread, bead and casing which affects the tire’s performance by increasing handling, traction, and comfort. Molding a high-silica tread composite into an irregular tread pattern featuring huge outer shoulder blocks on the outside, the Firehawk GT delivers enhanced handling and cornering stability. The inner blocks feature additional horizontal grooves and sipes to offer the added biting edges that help to improve grip in adverse weather conditions. Continuous center ribs improve wet and dry grip when braking or accelerating. The tread design of the Firehawk GT utilizes Firestone's Veri-pitch arrangement that helps to minimize on-road noise. Matching steel belts strengthened by spirally covered nylon deliver enhanced driving control, comfortable ride, and durable and even tread wear while reducing weight. Tough rubber sidewall supports and polyester cord casing help to improve steering response and cornering steadiness.
