Kumho developed the Solus TA31 as a Grand Touring, All-Season tire specifically for drivers of crossovers, sedans, and sporty coupes vehicle applications. The Solus TA31 is an O.E. (Original Equipment) on Hyundai Sonata, the Chrysler 200, and Kia Soul inner-city crossover vehicles. The Solus TA31 is designed to combine responsive handling, lasting wear and a comfortable ride with all-season grip including light snowy conditions. Molding an all-season tread compound into a five-rib symmetric pattern that features a jointless center rib bordered by jagged middle ribs and large shoulder blocks, the Solus TA31 tire delivers predictable control, all-season grip and even wear. The four circumferential grooves and horizontal notches support aquaplaning resistance by removing water quickly from beneath the footprint. Sipes increase the needed biting edges to boost wet road and wintertime grip. The internal structure of the Solus TA31 tire includes matching steel belts supported by spirally covered nylon above a polyester cord shell to combine strength, stability and ride comfort.
