The ADVAN Sport V105 is Yokohama Max- Performance Summer tire for the drivers of performance sedans, sporty coupes, and high-powered sports cars. In creating the ADVAN V105 tire Yokohama through participation in motorsports used a technology that allows the tire pass the test at Germany’s Nurburgring Circuit one of the most grueling tests/race tracks in the world. When compared to its prototype, The ADVAN V105 tire blends increased responsive handling with a comfortable ride by featuring accurately tuned structures and materials. The ADVAN V105 is a Summer tire and like similar summer tires, it is not recommended to be driven in temperatures close to freezing, on ice or through the snow. Molding a Microsilica and Orange Oil enriched tread compound, the rubber thread of the ADVAN V105 tire remains supple for improved tire hold and grip. The asymmetrical tread pattern consists of circumferential ribs and wide outboard shoulder blocks that unite to deliver superb handling and dry grip. Asymmetric horizontal notches and flexible wide circumferential grooves deliver noise reduction and help to prevent hydroplaning resistance. The ADVAN V105 internal structure consists two stiff steel belts strengthened by spirally wound overlying nylon across the tread. The three layers that cover the belt edges in the shoulders provide responsive handling and high-speed durability. Yokohama's innovative Matrix Body Ply Structure technology features a slanted rayon body ply in the sidewalls that helps maintain lateral firmness while reducing the weight of the tire to deliver more responsive handling and improved ride comfort.
